Default Front trackbar question....

This may be a stupid question but I am trying to understand how this works.

I am in the process of putting an adjustable on the front. I have over 20k on it the way it is, my front is off about 1/2 inch. I am happy as a bug in a rug with how it drives and don't want to screw it up. I drive 100+ miles a day.

OK so here is my question, if I center the axle with no load on the vehicle, when weight is added ie. passengers etc. will this not shift the axle to the other side? I ask this because I am not a small person and I am wondering with the front only off a 1/2 inch, maybe when I'm driving it with my weight it is most likely off less than that. So maybe I should leave well enough alone and not put the new bar on.

Am I overthinking this?....Am I being stupid and I should just put the damn thing on and be done with it? I read of all these people with Death Wobble caused by the Trackbar and I don't want that to happen to me.

Thanks for your advice and answers......

Well - if you're "not a small person" and the suspension compresses un-evenly when you get in then I'd say adjust alignment and trac-bar with a "normal load" (i.e. if it's just you driving 80% of the time then put the appropriate weight in the seat or have someone adjust with you in the vehicle)

Honestly you would have to be 300+ for it to really make a difference IMHO...

Small IFS cars with soft suspensions and extremely heavy persons driving are the worst - they can have alignment issues and some shops have to add appropriate weight the driver's side to 'guess' the overweight of the driver if there are complaints of unusual pull or tire wear even though the alignment is in spec when the car is empty...

LOL!! you are way over thinking this issue. think of it this way, if you install a 2" BB, the shift you will see will only be about 1/4" and even at that, addressing your track bar is NOT necessary. sure it's nice to have things centered but them not being centered will not be a problem either. the amount of sag your coils will experience due to weight in your jeep will not be enough to significantly change your axle position. and, for the record, installing an adjustable track WILL NOT cause death wobble. improper installation will.

If it makes you feel better, set it up with you in it. Years ago I had a customer who I had to align his car with him in it.
