Default Front Upper Control Arms To Adjust Caster?

Correct me if I'm wrong. But if I understand this correctly I only need to buy adj. front upper control arms to adjust the caster on my jeep? I just read this great how-to......
http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment

My problem is my traction control is stillllllllllllllllll acting up on on/off ramps on the highway. Hoping this will cure my problem and give me a better ride since adding my 3.5" lift and 35's.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the response. I see where it says shorten in those instructions...sounds like not all adj upper arms will go shorter.

All adj uppers will go shorter. But not all will go short enough to get your caster where you want it. Fine for shorter lifts, but taller lifts would be better off with lowers.

Front Upper:
Shorten to raise caster - (lowers pinion)
Lengthen to lower caster - (raises pinion)

Front Lower:
Lengthen to raise caster - (lowers pinion)
Shorten to lower caster - (raises pinion)

That is correct. I have the Currie's and they will do the job perfectly

What's the "general" length that folks usually set their upper CA's at?

As a general rule for every 1/8" you shorten the UCA you will increase caster about 1 degree.
On your rig with a 3.5" lift I am guessing you would need to shorten the arm about 3/8 to 1/2 inch to get your caster within specs.
It would be highly advisable to measure your caster angle before and after the adjustments are made just to be sure you have it correct.
Good luck
