Default Frozen Warn Powerplant

Yesterday Hundy, AK and I played in the snow.
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-trails-tales-71/socal-snow-run-12-08-07-a-22487/
I was splashing through huge mud puddles. (maybe 30) It was cold, below freezing. At the end of the run I tried to air back up. NOTHING! Power was going to the winch but nothing was coming out. I don't have much experience from things frezing up due to the cold. How about you guys from the East or the North? Anyone else have ths problem.
By the way I just tried it after it has thawed and it works great.

My frozen Jeep.

Are you saying that you could hear it turn on but no air was coming out or, are you saying that it wouldn't even turn on?

Shrinkage can be a real problem, your going to give it a complex if you talk about it with everyone!

Did you drain the condensation from the last time you used it? That moisture may have froze which prevented it from working.

By the way that's an awesome picture (sans the person in the background). A few Photoshop (or Paint.NET) tweaks and that would be very artistic.

Could have done that on the Powerplant and thawed it out some.

Is there a chance that it was just the controler? That's happened to me before and it was like 80° out. A couple good smacks on the palm of my hand and it started working again.

I whacked it several times. I think that water and or mud got up inside the connections and froze. I just don't think it should do this.
