Unhappy Frustrated... Need help/ Advice

Fellow Jeepers... i am located in Kuwait and i have installed S/C kit from Hesco for my JK end of June along with a programmed PCM that was supplied to Hesco by B&G performance. (i paid extra for a new programmed PCM to avoid sending my stock PCM back and forth to USA to program it)

after the install I faced problems with detonation/ pre ignition with that PCM and did every thing possible to get rid of it but could not. (highest octane fuel available+octane booster/ colder spark plugs/ richened AFR ). The only remaining solution was to send the PCM back to USA for programing.

Ideally i should be sending the PCM back to HESCO but To expedite things... i dealt with B&G performance directly which was a big mistake...
We have agreed that i send them my untuned Stock PCM to modify my tune. for me to run it during hot weather in Kuwait, and keep the already tuned PCM to use it in winter.

I sent the PCM to them and it was delivered on September 08th, i spoke to them that day to make sure they received my Email with the notes of my observations of the engine behavior.. to enable them to modify the PCM accordingly. they confirmed that it should take 2 days.

TILL today...And after more than 3 weeks and many follow ups and calls.... i am not able to reach any person in that company...no one even the Operater... No one.

I went back to Hesco and explained the situation in Detail over the phone. and we agreed that i will send Hesco an email regarding the same and they will take it up with B&G.

I tried sending the email many times but it was never delivered due to mail server problems at Hesco's end. And now i am not able to reach any one in Hesco either!!!

I am really frustated and have not driven my Jeep since i did that F&%#ing upgrade.

Considering that i am on the other part of the world....What can i do???

Did you use a tuner to match the PCM with the vin? if not you will have problems with the computer recognizing the PCM and it wont work properly any number of malfunctions. If you match them everything should work perfectly.

unichip could solve your problem, but your pcm needs be stock, so if your dealer could reflash your pcm to stock mode, you could use a unichip to adjust timing and afr, but you would need a custom tune on the dyno, im sure you have people in kuwait that could do that...... are there any added injectors in the HESCO sc kit? if yes then you should contact rippmods, they could send you their blackbox piggyback ive been using it ever sice i got my rippmods SC kit... its works amazing...

hope that help,,, btw im from your side of the world to, so i know how it feels

well i looked at Ripps first but i went with Hesco for 3 reasons.

-ripp Kit does not have an intercooler which is vital in our hot climate
-i don't like the idea of refilling alcohol tank
-i am running Duel battery kit From benchmark, the ripp will not fit.

the PCM that was sent to me is matched to my VIN and working fine. my problem is with the spark timing on that that is casing detonation.

I checked with Uni chip before, the adjustment to the timing were very limited and not customizable. and unfortunately no shop in Kuwait has it.
Hesco kit comes with Fuel management unit that you can use to adjust the fuel pressure and mixture, but no injectors.

thanks for your input.

Default reflash

can't the dealer reflash to at least make it driveable?
