Fuel Door not flush?!?
OK, so I read the Mopar fuel door thread a little to late!
I must have bent the thin sheet metal and now the bottom of the Mopar fule door doesn't sit flush against the jeep. The top is very snug and the door doesn' move.
So, my question is, should I worry that it isn't sitting flush at the bottom? I know to fix the problem I will need to have the sheet metal bent back. It isn't a large gap, maybe 1/2 inch.

Take out the rubber mallet and give it a couple whacks. Aside from aesthetics, I don't think it matters. We don't have fuel doors from the factory, I don't think a gap in the door will make a difference.
Thanks. I did just that and it is better but not perfect.
BTW I went to a local Jeep dealership and noticed my install job was better than 9 out of the 10 Jeeps on their lot with the fuel door. The had huge gaps!
Anyway, for now it will have to do. Next I have to call the dealership because I just got gas all over me when my tank overfilled!!!!
I guess I now know why they only gave me the Jeep with 3/4 of a tank ughhhhhhh
