Default fuel rims problem

Alrightey then, so I just put new fuel rims on 33×12.50 18
Long story short 2 days after I was chasing my tire down the street and now for the past 2 days I've been driving like an old lady. Any advice on weather I should of re torqued them right away, which I just did after the fact and should I be worried again?

Most comments I have seen say to re-check at around 100 miles. But as you found out, it certainly doesn't hurt to check sooner. And as I found out, looking to see that all of your lugnuts were actually re-installed is a good thing too. (I drove away discount tire one time and found a few days later that none of the wheel locks were re-installed)

Are you saying the tire literally came off your jeep and rolled away while your jeep became a tri wheel vehicle. Because then I would say some one forgot to tighten a tire

Yes I'm saying tripod ride for about 25 feet.
They were all tight 2 days prior and once I put the forth back on the other rear tire was loose, the fronts were good.

That is scary!

You might check to see if the factory brake rotor retainer clips are still on the wheel studs. They should all be removed before installing after market rims, and if still preset can cause real issues. They really serve no purpose outside of the factory.

That's the only thing I could think of.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Keep us up to date. Curious to hear the solution.

Alright well those clips weren't on. I'm pretty sure it was just a freak accident lol. Probably gonna recheck them daily for a week tho don't need to ruin the jeep or hurt anyone.

How about the lug nuts? Are they matched to the holes in the wheels?

Default Fuels

Hi -

I too have fuels, and luckily have never experienced an issue like this (although this makes a great case to go get some hubcentric rings).

Mine have two different bolt patterns drilled into them... could it be possible that whoever installed them put them in the wrong pattern (they are only a fraction of an inch different, and may fit onto the studs, but not torque down correctly.

Just a thought.
