Default Full Replacement Gas Tank Skid???

So I know the skid debate is peppered all over the forum and I read through most of it but I was wondering if there is a company that makes a full replacement gas tank skid. It would be great to just have once piece under there instead of throwing one skid on top of the stock one. Anyone run into one? Thanks!

I may be wrong but the skid it what supports the tank so if you remove the skid the tank is going to drop.

This is correct. My factory gas tank skid is totally mashed up from the rocks. It is fine, but I looked into a replacement skid for the tank. The price I saw was like $700 and I said forget that.

Yup that is correct. It just looks like most aftermarket skids install on top of the OEM gas tank skid. I wanted to see if there is an aftermarket skid that is basically a beefier version of the OEM skid that would hold the tank.

Default gas tank skid

I don't know what the guy above me is talking about , my gas tank skid is so beat , I bet I am losing gas capacity. I have a 3/16 skid now and it works great. But it does mount over thr factory skid .

yeah x2. mine is dented and real scratched, but like Wayalife has mentioned, all the factory skids work great. IMO I could see going aftermarket if it broke etc.

I think there is one that replaces but the most common one I've heard of/seen is the one that mounts over the factory. However I can't remember where I've heard it, could be on here. What about getting thicker gauged steel and welding it to the factory skid?
