Default full time transfer case

Has anyone installed a fulltime transfer case in a rubicon? would this then be similar to the set up in the 92-97 landcrusiers with front and rear diff locks or the
G-500. what case did you use? To me driving in the rain I would like to have full time 4x4. rather than the traction control bs. any thoughts?

Uh, I think you would need a center differential for the tf case. Have no idea what one would be compatable

You can do it but I think it would be too costly to do

It would be a lot easier, and possibly less costly, to just sell your JK and buy a landcruiser or g500...

Default I know how to drive in the rain, snow sleet mud and sand.

I am a geologist and have spent my life off road. I put in more off road miles in some years than the average driver does on road. I mountain bike ski, snowboard and surf and used to race dirt bikes. I have driven on anything from ice sheets to desert.

The traction control that comes with the rubicon maybe it doesn't on the x's I think just isn't as good as as full time 4wheel drive. So as with many of us we come with "ideas" from time time , which is after all how the industry gets advanced, so just a thought, by the way what kind of cars do you sell?

full time four wheel drive would be so much better than the traction control for on and off road. instead of braking the slipping wheel it would apply power to the wheel with traction. If you try to do a 2 wheel dig to slide your rearend around and forget to turn that crap off the rest of the rednecks will laugh at the squirrel cage motor. I never mind the traction control in the rain but on icy roads it will screw me up bad. I do believe that it would cost a fortune to make it work on a jk.

It's on X models, too. Mine's never kicked in unless I was going too fast for the conditions.
