full traction 3" lift's help
ok, I have a jk on order and I would like to do a 3" lift with 35's. I'm not extreem off roader, I'm just kinda getting more into it. Whats the difference between the 3 levels of the kits? Why do some guys run spacers up front with the kit? Doesn't the kit level out nicely? Full traction seems to be the kit of choice around here.
The Economy Kit is just that, a basic kit that'll get you sitting on 3" taller coils. The Premium kit comes with an adjustable front track bar and fixed lenght lower control arms and the Ultimate kit kit comes with adjustable upper/lower control arms and a rear adjustable track bar as well.
Now, if you aren't planning on running a heavy duty steel bumper with a winch, you'll just want the standard springs but if you are, you'll want to request a set of heavy duty springs or else you will need to run spacers up front to level things out.

If you go with the economy, you will want an adj track bar anyway $179?? and some adj lower control arms in the front $239??? to adjust your caster. You do the math from there. Probably about the same as the premium??? If you get the premium youll get a rear track bar as well(wont have to use the bracket) and some rear lower control arms(non adj)
EDIT: looks like everyone beat me to the punch
so the premium is the best way to go. Sounds like the ultamite is a bit more then I would ever need.. I'm looking for good kit, that goes togeather easy, functions well, and drives great on the street. My jeep will see more street then off road so I'm looking for the best compromise. I"m excitec to do some mild off roading but dont see myself doing the extreem stuff. Plus I live in cincinnati ohio we dont have cool stuff like moab and all those dessert trails..
