Full Traction CRC-link conversion
Does anybody has or has ordered a CRC-link conversion, as offered by Full Traction?
I placed my order for it at the beginning of February and the information I got at that time was, that they are currently in production and should be ready within 4 weeks. And so I waited. Since I had no news from them after 5 weeks however, I called them again in mid March and the new info was, that they should be ready in another 3-4 weeks. OK, made another call mid April, but they were still “in production” and should have been ready in 2-3 weeks. Made my latest call today and the info is – quess what – they are still “in production” and should be ready possibly end of May (so another 3 weeks)…
I am quite patient and easy-going person, but every phone call with FT was an extreme PITA. As soon as they find out I am calling about the CRC-line they turned quite rude and refused to give any information or discuss the availability or their previous statements. They only thing there were about was, how did I place my order (directly/via shop) – which in my book should not make any difference to holding ones promises as to availability of the products one is offering to the customers…
Honestly, I really wanted to have CRC-link and was willing to wait with my build, until I received that “piece of my puzzle”, but with the attitude of FT stuff torwards their customers? What would you make of this?

For the money I would not waste the time with the CRC link. They work but do have their drawbacks like having to run a min of 4" of lift and you can improve your ride without spending that kind of money.

From their manual i gathered that they should work already with 2"+ lifts.
Anyhow I was after a solution, how to get rid of rear end swaying within fast bends, which obviously came from the rear trackbar movements rather than from the coil/damper movements. Is there anything else to take care of this, other than the CRC link?
Also, after all these unpleasant phone calls and numerous unkept promises/statements I just felt the need to share my disillusion with how FT handles their customers...

I was just at their shop and looking at the same thing. The old version did require a minimum of 4" of lift. The revised version does not have the 4" min., it is now 2" and up. Did I just get a chance to correct the Dirtman???
With that aside, I have had no issues with them. I have their SRS 3". Good product. The only issue I have had was a bushing on one control arm slipped. I called them and they shipped two out the next day at no charge.
I intend to install the CRC and will be stopping in their shop again in a few weeks. I want to see it in person before I buy it. I had the Watts linkage on my land rover and noticed a difference in handling.
I do believe you can get a different set up which has similar handling characteristics. I'm not certain what it is called. Triangulated 4 point? Google it.

I'm curious and interested in what other people think about the CRC link. I've had it on my "should I buy this?" list for a while now. The theory sounds great, and in talking with FT via email, they say it'll resolve the issues i have with axle sway while corning and eliminate the "loose" feeling in the rear.
The primary reason I'm looking at the CRC link, is my drive shaft hits the gas tank and evap canister skid under full articulation. Stuffing the rear passenger wheel, causes the drive shaft to swing and hit the gas tank right at the pinion. And the other way, the rubber boot hits the factory skid plate on the evap canister. FT says that using the CRC link will completely eliminate the issues I'm having with the drive shaft.

The price is rather steep, but I'd be willing to pony up the cash if it's really worth it. Currently I've got the Metalcloak 2.5" Game Changer Lite lift. It comes with the Metalcloak rear track bar and relocation bracket. I'm thinking that because the bracket is so tall, it is causing some of the handling and drive shaft clearance issues I'm having.

hell even a single triangulated would remove the track bar

An after market 1310 cv driveshaft would also eliminate the contact problems as they are a much smaller diameter.

Ah good call. I was worried that the "ears" on the shaft would hit the tank and get damaged, but they probably would be smaller.
