Default Full Traction Front Spring Problem

So I finally installed my Ultimate lift yesterday. Everything went great except the right front spring. It bends excessively. I mean it isnt in a straight line vertically. It is so bad it actually rubs the the center pod in the middle of the spring on the top. The bottom is locked in where it should be, the spring ends in the indention in the round plate (which is in the front on the right side and rear on the left.

Any ideas? Ill try to post a pic tomorrow.

Sure is a bumpier ride than the stock Sahara springs. Now it rides like a Jeep. I feel every bump in the road.

I would assume you have a bad spring IF the left front spring is vertical. Check the top of the spring too. Might not be centered in the isolator. How do you like the M-Force shocks?

I know that when I got my FT lift it came with front coils that were not heavy duty and you had to request HD springs. In fact I had mine replaced. I have read that now their FT kits come with HD springs, unless you request the lighter set. Maybe you got one of each and installed the lighter one on the right side.

I installed 8 control arms, 2 track bars, and M force schocks. I used the lengths for the control arms which were given in the write up in Project-JK. Everything come out right on the money. Castor is about 7-8%. It drives straight and true. No death wobble. The spring bends towards the rear of the vehicle in the middle. Both the top and bottom are centered.

I do not know if it is the springs, shocks, or the tires, but it sure is "bouncy" down the road. Just got done last night, so I havent been off road yet. So dont have an opinion on the shocks.

Sorry for the hijack...

Are the MForce shocks pretty similar to stock rubi shocks in terms of bounce?

No worries. I have a sahara, never rode in a rubi so I dont know. I belive the saharas suspension was tuned for the road though. I think Im getting the bounce from the different spring rates. The shocks seem to be very good quality. They seemed to have a lot more dampening than the stock sahara ones. I changed so much on my Jeep last night I cant accuratly judge just the shocks.

When I installed my full traction ultimate I had the same problem. I spent 2 weeks trying different things. Full traction said that I had the arms to long, then to short, try the stock lengths, etc. In the end I got a bad spring. The ride is a little harder/ bouncier. But after getting the spring straightened out I am very happy with it. I have the Mforce shocks.

Is this lift similar to FT's 2" lift kit? I am getting ready to install and want to make sure I don't have any issues. Thanks!

i think thats just a spacer kit right?

Give fulltraction a call, they've replaced a couple like this with no issues after that..

I would say mine rides a little stiffer than stock, the higher you go, the more you have the expect that.
