Default Full traction, teraflex or rockkrawler for 37s!

Ive been losing sleep over trying to pick a lift i dont think i could go wrong with either company im just trying to deside whats best for my 2 door. I just picked up my 37/1350/17 toyos the other day so my lift wil be next. Im also looking to run a full mid arm system the long arms are a little out of my price range right now mabey later down the road. Ive heard that the teraflex 4in mid on a 2 door gives you some problems with the rear spring perches any truth to this? Ive heard of full tractions joints being squeky? I wanna say that rock krawler just came out with new joints for there arms but im not 100% on that. I will be doing tube fenders no matter which way i go for the extra clearence. Also i no when your running 37s the steering needs to be taking care of list what you have done to yours and suggest some things i need to do to mine right away. Im going to be ordering my lift here in the next few days so i need some feedback pretty quick. If you selected other be sure to list the lift and why you would go this way. (I no ill need drive shafts with these lift heights) Thanks in advance.

When you rotate your rear pinion up to match the t-case output with ANY brand of lift, the spring pads on the axle rotate down/back, which cause the coils to have a S bend. 4 dr JK's don't see it as much when compared to a 2dr. You can cut and rotate the stock mounts or use a set of TeraFlex coil mounts.

Sir

For what you are looking to do, we would be able to put a custom package together for you. We would do the 5.5" X Factor Mid Arm System, but on 3.5" coils and 3.5" disconnects. This combination will provide you with high steer right in the system. With the X Factor Series, the rear axle is moved back one inch so you can clear 37's with no pinch seam issues.

Our 3.5" front coils are now progressive rate so there is an added bonus.

We feel our new joints are the best joints to hit the consumer market ever! We did not have any issues with our old joints, but these are just sweet in our opinion.

No matter which way you choose, good luck with your build. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. Do you carry this kit in a non-aluminum version? Also, how much weight would be saved by running the aluminum version in your pro-mid arm system? I am very interested in doing the package deal you were talking about, that way I will get my steering components and everythig all in one kit.

Thanks for the quick reply. What steering upgrades do you recommend with your 4 in mid arm system?

I'm doing basically what you are planning on doing. Although, I'm going with a long arm set-up. Anyways, to address the steering I'm going with JKS kit which beefs up the steering box mount and shaft. Also adding pro-steer ball joints. Kinda pricey, but from what I understand well worth it.

Teraflex how does the 4in mid arm handle aftermarket weight bumpers skids etc.. I want to run the lod stubby stinger in front lod stubby in the rear and the lod sliders. The rear tire carrier is 120lbs alone plus the weight of a 37in toyo and 17in walker Evans beadlocks. My main concern is sag would in be better to go with a 4in mid arm for the 4dr and install it on my 2dr considering all the added weight I will be running?

I was going to get the link for you, but yes - if you go on the RK site, they have the 5.5 X factor system in a non-aluminum version. However, like they mentioned, you'll probably have to order it custom over the phone from them so you can swap out the 3.5" coils.

I also have a buddy with the Teraflex 4" lift w/ 8 Flexarms that runs the trails like a champ!

Either of those will be fantastic for your Toyo's.
