I have the 6 speed with 3:73 gears. I know speedo will be off. How much speed, and gas mileage will I lose w/o regearing. I want to regear, and do lockers at the same time, and they're not in the budget yet.

Depending upon how adept you are at shifting/using your existing ratio's, figure the difference between your current tires, and the 35's, will be the change in your final drive ratio.

If you assume that the larger tires will merely proportionally shift your rpm down in each given gear ratio, you will realize what gear you will be in for each speed you are diving at. As the tires have changed your effective gearing, it may be possible to be driving up a hill in the EXACT same final drive ratio as before the tires, but in a lower gear.

The specifics of that change are based upon WHICH tire brand, model, etc....as they all have different hysteresis characteristics, etc, and therefore a different impact upon your rolling performance.
