thanks all for the advice, really helped!

one question however, how exactly would a 2.5" lift raise the total height by 4"?

I believe the advertised lift heights take into account added weight of bumpers, winches, armor, etc...I always hear of the teraflex 2.5" coil lift actually adding around 3-3.5"

i just had my shop built with 8' doors...just so i can always get it in...BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!!!

WHERE I LIVE IT GETS COLDER THAN SHIT AND SNOWS ALL THE TIME...I AM NOT GONNA WORK ON ANYTHING IN THE COLD...SHOP IS HEATED AND ALL OF MY BUDDIES BRING OVER BEER TO WORK ON THEIR CRAP SO IT WORKS OUT FOR ME...LOL

I would guess that if you installed a 2.5 in lift on a 2007 that had worn out stock springs, you probally would gain 4" over what you started with.
2.5" over stock height is one thing. 2.5" over worn out stock is totally different.
