Default gas smell

hey everyone.. I hope this is in the correct spot for this and I really didnt find anything in the search. I started smelling gas in my vehicle. This is usually right after cranking up and more noticeable at the first part of the day. (this is probably because getting use to the smell). Has anyone experienced this before or any ideas. All the jeep stats are below. Thanks

Default Gas Smell

Check behind driver side tail light where the vent is. Jeep has had a problem with the emission system. Take it to a deales for a check out.

Could it really be an emissions thing? It smells so strong! Like I spilled gas from a can....

Where is the vent? You don't mean the big vent in the center of the gate do you?

My bf's Jeep is doing the same thing. It's really strong. He and my dad might look into it tonight. He had it at a local shop and they said it was the filler neck, and "fixed" it but that didn't do shit and he spent $50.00 for nothing. When you find out what is it post up, i know it can help others.

Did the smell start soon after you had the SC removed? Something may have happened to the fuel line and its spitting a little bit out. It would smell strong because it's right by the firewall...

My g/f jeep is having the same issue. It usually happens after start up. Usually when it does happen it cranks more times than usuall when it goes to start.

All jeeps get this. I smell it If I get on the throttle really hard. It's because the exhaust wafts up through the vents in the back.

This isnt a exhaust smell its a raw gas smell.
