Default Gas tank skid

Is anyone making a them yet?

I destroyed mine on sunday. I now have a big dent in the skid plate. Its caved in pretty good. I would guess i I lost about a gallon of tank space.

Or has anyone dropped there tank. how much work will these be..

I'm thinking a BFH will help fix the dent.

yeah, they have alot going on.

I'm hoping Fulltraction has the Skid plate with the Long arm, like they did on the TJ's..

I cant believe what a piece of crap the stock skid is. Although it did have the weight of the jeep sliding on it.

Yeah, the 97-01 TJ gas tank skids were a piece of crap too if you remember but then they got a bit beefier after that. But that's okay, it just gives us a reason to upgrade to something a lot better. Only problem is, nobody makes one yet

My Tank is about a gallon less too! Sucks when you commute 150 miles a day. I could use that extra gallon. I'm gonna have to pull off the oe skid and pound it back out.

Sorry if you need that extra gallon, but the way I look at it everytime I make a dent in it I get extra ground clearance for free. I would actually be interested in a tank that had less capacity at the benefit of greater center ground clearance. WOL- see if you can get someone started on one of these.

thats what I need ground clearance, I was trying to get on top a big rock,

we call it jeep rock. Its a nice poser shot, when you get on top. I just could'nt get up it, So I gunned it a couple times. 4 tire burnout. and finally made it..

I think I just need to smash the skid for the extra couple inchs of clearance..

I smacked the front bumper very hard. be it only removed the paint... I kinda had to push the front up on the rock, sliding on the bumper, its was steep.
