Default gauges

I have an 07 sahara with the 3.8 v6. My question is, is it possible to install an oil pressure gauge. If so, are there any kits or is it a pain in the backside?

Thanks,
Phil

You can install a tee under the OEM oil pressure switch for a sender.
Or, you can install an adapter between the oil filter pad and the oil filter. A sender will screw into the adapter.

That's what I did.

Mounted VDO gauge, which is a very close match to stock gauges, in the sPOD controller. It's a very tight fit (due to depth of the gauge), but worked out very nicely ...

I have Aeroforce gauges installed with a sandwich plate behind the oil filter.

The areoforce gauge is sweet but pricey. How does the analog display wire up? Just a single line from the sandwich plate to the guage? What kind of wiring is neeeded to connect the display to the sensor?

A single wire, yes. The sandwich plate doesn't include the sensor. It has ports that can be used to connect up whatever you want: Sensors, coolers, etc. The sensors often have two wires, but the second is for the warning light (idiot light), which I still depend on the stock system for. So, just a single wire to the sensor up to the gauge, then a wire from the gauge to switched power, and a ground wire. The sensor ground is through the block (if you don't put Teflon tape on it like I did, LOL).
