Default gear noise

Got my gears done and when i got my jeep back i was told that there will be a noise in the rear end but it is the dust cover loose and isn't a big deal. well now that i have broke in the gears and changed the oil i am somewhat annoyed now by the noise. should i take it back to the people who did the work or can i fix the loose dust cover myself?
the noise is a whine and i hear it when i coast and on the gas and i hear it when i get over 25-30

Sounds like a load of BS. Whine is usually because of a bad gear job.
Bring it back.

Yeah, it's a gear install issue. I would want to take it back for warranty but also be hesitant about taking it back since they didn't do a great job the first time.

Did they point out the 'dust cover' and explain how/ why it got loose?

Look at at it Thursday and didn't want to bust open this doffs just yet since I just put new fluid in them. Said that since the noise was constant and didn't change no matter the stress he will call Yukon and talk to them and see what they say. He said this has happens to one GTO he did and said that they did another set in it and it was quite. So just waiting in Yukon to get back to him and then he will bring it in to fix whatever it is.

Did you have the pinion bearings replaced at the same time as the gears or just gears?
