Default Gear question?

If I'm putting new gears in, I have manual 3.21 and am going to 4.88 do i need to do front as well or can I do just the back?

If you had to do one axle at a time, do the back first then the front later; Only downfall is you won't be able to drop it into 4x4, If possible do both at the same time.

Oh you can't use 4x4 with out doing both? Good enough for me I'll do both.
