The risk of buying a used vehicle they can only tell me what they know, I didn't buy this from a private seller. When I trade a car in I'm not telling the dealership what I did to it.

Sounds to me that you got an unexpected Christmas present. So many people out there want/need to regear and will never get around to it! It beats trudging around on 3.21s....LOL.
