From what I have heared it would be around $800.00 to do the job. But I have a 6speed with 35's and stock gears and Im yet to have a problem just a lack of power. I do have some yukon 4.88 in my room but im waiting to order lockers so I dont have to pay for the same job again. I wouldnt think you would need to change your gears idk *shurg*

The stock (assuming you don't have the 29" tires) tires are 32" tires. Most 33" tires on the market will likely be less than 1" larger than the current stockers.

Will lower gears be nicer? Sure, for the added width and heft of the tires... but will it be extremely noticeable? Probably not...

I have 33x12.50x17's on mine with a 3.21 gear ratio and while i did notice a difference it wasnt to drastic. Im getting 35's after these wear out but with the 33's right now on my 3.21 its not REAL bad like i said i do notice a big difference but i wouldnt be worried about regearing until you go to 35's

i have 37's and an Auto. I haven't regeared and it is pretty awful. Tolerable, but awful.

What kind of gears do you guys recommend? I haven't done much shopping because I don't know anything about gears. What is a good solid brand that won't cost me out the A$$?

My 35s and 3.73s is bearable and I drive all the time. I've put 250 miles on my Jeep in 2 days. Turn off the OD if it gets on your nerves on the highway. I'd be willing to bet you don't feel the difference.

There's a place in Houston that'll do it for $650 parts/labor...
i guess i'll get the tires on then if it bugs me ill re-gear...now i just gota decide on what m/t to get!!!!

Don't get Baja Claws they are really BAD in the snow and on rocks. Not to mention they wear down really fast. I only got 20000 out of mine!
