Default gearing

This is my first post and i have a few questions. i know this is already been talked about in other posts. I just got the tf 2.5 coil lift and am looking at new tires soon probably like 33 x 11.5 x 17. I have a 6 speed 4 door with the 3.21s and currently get like 17 on my daily commute 20 highway. will i loose all fuel economy because this is my DD. i was thinking about finding some used 3.73s or even 4.10s if i have to. I don't want to regear to extreme because on my 97 dodge i went from 13.5 to 9-10 on 35s and 4.56s. thank you in advance for your opinions and help.

Can't compare anything to your other vehicle. Depends solely on the engine, gear ratios of the trans, tire height and axle ratio. I am very happy with my 6spd, 4.10s and 35s. I can't give an accurate mpg reading due to I haven't calibrated my speedo yet. 33s? 3.73s should be the minimum you are considering and the only reason is due to you having a 6spd, you have much more rpm control than an automatic.

I have a 6speed 3.73 and 285/70/17 real close to 33 I am not that satisfied with the power. If I were to go through the trouble of regearing I would go with 4.88

With 33's? You will gain "power", yes. However the cruising rpm would be very substantial. Enough to kill mileage off. It's much more efficient to utilize the 6spd and just grab a lower gear and retain your lower 6th gear cruise with okay power.

Just my opinion. Automatic is a different ball game. 6spd has a huge advantage as far as handling gear ratio and tire sizes..

nothing significant, 10-15lbs(MAX) per wheel depending on the brand of tire is what you should expect

Default flashpaq

if i bought the flashpaq tuner (i already have a cai and a mbrp exhaust) would i gain enough power to offset the 33's im not trying to win any races and dont wheel to often and if i do i use 4 low. if with the 3.21s and 33s i loose like 2mpg ill be happy enough. would rather buy a tuner than regear slightly because right now i cant justify jumping to 35's and 4.88s or 5.13s in the future im sure after i pay it off ill mod it heavily just right now looking to make it just stand out and be a little more capable.

You know what your rpm's are now. Look at the chart in the driveline faq to see what they will be with the 33's. (you need to use the actual tire height, not the mfg's listed height. You'll just have to ballpark it if you don't have the tires yet)

My opinion - since you have a manual, and are only going up one tire size, I'd give the flashpaq a shot. Save the $1500 re-gear for 35's when you decide to go bigger.
