Default Gearing question

OK, so I took my JK on a road trip a few weeks ago & was not happy at all with the highway performance (no power at all at 70, losing speed on hills, etc.) I'm planning on going to 35s soon so I'm thinking about re-gearing. Here's the question: I'm supposed to have 3.73 gears now according to my window sticker, but if I do the math (that's my thing) I have 3.21s which is the gear they put in without the 23S pkg. Could my tach be way off, or is it more likely that the sticker is wrong? I'm just trying to decide between 4.56 & 4.88 from the charts, but now I'm not sure where I'm starting from.

You might be right on that one. Care to run through how you got there? (gear ratio, not my lack of math prowess)

The chart is a 70mph chart. Stock tire is 32".

PS, no one goes 4.56 on 35's, mainly because that gearset isnt available anywhere. Everyone goes either 4.88 or 5.13. If you do 50% highway driving I would stick to 4.88's.

Thanks! Like I said, I was just trying to see where I was starting from. Everything I've read says I should go w/ 4.88 or 5.13 with 35s. 'preciate the info
