Gears for 35s?
You don't 'have' to swap gears. if you 'want' to swap them, open the faq's at the top of this modified area and check the Drivetrain section. You will find a chart for both the 6spd and the auto. Be sure to measure the tires, don't use mfg's specs.
while you will loose some power with a set of 35's, i think you will find that it isn't as bad as you'd think especially if you make sure to recalibrate your speedometer as it controls your shift points. if you feel the need to restore your power, 4.88's will give you back stock like performance and 5.13's will make your jeep feel like it has more HP. the down side to 5.13's is that it will also run on the high side of your RPM's at highway speeds. no big deal to me but, it's something you should know.

There is an rpm chart in the faq's. Use actual measured tire heights, not mfg's specs. And if you want to see your OD Off rpms, divide the od on rpm by .69
I'm running 4.88's with 35's and they run great. mileage is good, power is back in the power band and if i need to lock out of OD, my rpms stay within range of holding my speed.
