Default gears again

I am running an unlimited 6 speed with 35s that I just put on it about 1200 miles ago. I have read all the threads about gears on here. My question is what gears are most people going with? I am thinking 5.13s after reading some of the threads on here. I am thinking about going 37s when these tires are worn out but not sure yet. If I go 5.13s will they pull the 37s with the 6 speed? It is an unlimited x if that matters. Thanks in advance.

I've got 5.13s and 37s and an auto. It did just fine getting me moving. I think it's the perfect choice for someone with 35s or 37s. Make sure you buy some type of programmer to get the gears and tire size accounted for though too. I had the hypertech and really liked it. Now I've got the Procal and think it's great especially for the price, but if I didn't have the supercharger I'd rather have the hypertech than the procal. It's slower to update the computer, but I felt like the performance gains made a difference.

What is your axle up front? A D30 with 5.13's is not so good, nor is 37's on a D30.

Says who? Perhaps not for hardcore wheeling, but any other situation mine and many other peoples here are holding up just fine.

I agree with Torrin. 37's on a Dana 30 is just asking for trouble. Unless you never put it in 4 wheel drive.

It is a dana 30 up front but no locker and sees very little offroading and no rock climbing. I use it for pulling my river boat or maybe dirt roads when it rains but nothing major.

At minimum I would reinforce the axle by adding gussets. I have also read that adding 5.13's to a D30 has mixed results, since the gear is so stinking small.
