Default gears and fuel mileage

Im thinking about puting 5.13 gears in my 08 jk. My fuel mileage is around 10 mpg. Im running 35's. Are 5.13 gears a good choice. Its a daily driver ....

5.13 seems to be what everyone suggest, but what they claim they get as gas mileage is all over the map. I have 4.88 with a 6spd and TOLD from the previous owner he was getting 13mpg, but I have yet to confirm.

Ok it's a 2 door I'm guessing since you said JK not JKU are you auto or 6 speed?

1st off 5.13's too much unless you're a 4dr w auto.
2 dr auto I'd go 4.88
2 dr 6 speed I think even 4.56 would be fine if you're also concerned about fuel mileage.

If you did not correct your tire size with a programmer, you are getting more than 10MPG!

It's not that. It's just that this subject has been beat to death. A simple search will reveal a vast array of posts on this topic. Also, need more info. Juice or stick? DD is mentioned, but what is intended use? City driving, highways, 75mph+, flat lands or mountains (assuming flat since E TX on profile)...? Wheeling needs or a mall crawler?

You will find suggestions from generally 4.56-5.38.
