Default Gears and Tires

What is your absolute favorite gear ratio for 35" tires with the 3.6 engine? 35's the biggest ill ever go so no need to plan for the future.

4:10 or higher, in my experience. I've got a 6-speed manual 3.6 JK on 33's with the stock 3.73 gearing and it feels just a little sluggish on-road.

If you're doing 35's with an Unlimited model, or either one with an automatic trans, I'd definitely be looking at 4:10's or higher. I did some reading and I think someone recommended 4.88's as a middle ground for having good crawl-ability but still being (somewhat) efficient to drive on-road.

That's just IMO, anyway...

Just re geared last week from 3.21s to 4.10s on a 2012 auto with 35KM2s.

Finished my break in 1 hr ago so I will be able to tell you soon how it is on the hwy. around town I got my power back and now at 16.3 mpg vs the 14 I was getting with 3.21s.

Excited to get on the hwy Friday and head to Jeep beach!

I think you mean lower than 4.10s...

I have 4.56 2012 6speed and it's great I don't think I would've went with 4.88s would've been too much rpm for the amount of highway driving I do. I could not be happier with my 4.56
