Gen Right Full Width Bumper
Just got finished installing the front full width bumper and I was not overly impressed with some of the quality and design. The hole cut out for the Hawse fairlead was so large that the bolt boles in the bumper were slots open to the fairlead hole. There were additional holes in the bumper outside of where the Hawse fairlead would mount so they supplied a thin piece of aluminum sheet metal to place behind the fairlead to cover the additional holes. Straight away this looks like crap.
The holes for the fog lights were cut so large that the entire light just sits out in the middle of the hole. Forget about installing after market fog lights such as Rigid since the round cover supplied with the kit will not cover the hole. The brackets tack welded to the inside of the bumper were made out aluminum sheet metal and were to small to use the size bolting the stock bumper had for the fog lights and so thin they just twisted easily when trying screw in sheet metal screws. I am going to end up drilling holes in the bumper and counter sinking screws in so I can mount fog lights properly and not to mention fabricating some rings to cover the large holes for the fog lights.
Overall if a company is going to charge this kind of money for a bumper the quality and design should be a little better. On a positive note the bumper does sit low and tucks the winch in below the grill allowing full air flow to the radiator.
