Default Gen3 D44 rearends? Whats the differences in the Gen's?

I recently bought a 2008 JKU 4dr. The friend of mine I got it from had installed a set of what he described as a set of crate Rubicon Gen.3 D44 rear ends that he purchased from a local off road shop near us about two years ago. Just out of curiosity, What is the differences in the different generations of the Rubicon D44 axels?

Not sure if you're driving a jeep that has 2 rear axles, but if so I would love to see a picture of that shit.

The JK D44 or Super44 are a stronger build then previous generations with bigger heavier 8.8" ring and bigger pinion shaft.
