Default General question about modifications

I have 2011 JK Unlimited Sport. My goal is: 1) to raise it 2.5" and 2) put on 35" tires. This is mostly done for etiquette reasons (I am not really planning to do any off-roading).
I just read FAQ and to tell you the truth, I am more than terrified to do that because there is so much stuff you have to take into account (and it looks like it will be not as cheap as I hoped).

So my question is: should I just go to a local dealership, say "I want 2.5" lift", and they will take care of everything (re-gearing/calibration/strengthening/adjusting/etc/etc) or I better find an 4x4 shop (like northridge4x4)? Is there a list of trusted shops?

Thanks!
PS pardon this newbie thread

I wouldn't recommend bringing your jeep to the dealership for aftermarket modifications. They will charge you some ridiculous price and there's no guarantee the dealership mechanics have any experience with aftermarket parts. I'm assuming their expertise is within the scope of OEM specs. But there are dealerships out there with specialized services that can install your lift.

Just my opinion, but I think a reputable 4x4 shop will have more experience and knowledge about specific aftermarket modifications. The challenge is finding a good shop! I would hit up other members on this forum in your local area for a shop recommendation.
