this company is coming up with a new design snorkel just wait and see next week according to them http://www.gibsonrm.com.au/html/gibson_snorkels.htm

ARB diesel version is out and according to them petrol would like exactly the same as diesel but not from under the hood

http://www.safarisnorkel.com/snorkel/ss1065hf/ss1065hf.htm

then we have River Rider the best looking snorkel so far IMO

and followed by AEV

Soon we will have a winner

Their design looks like crap, but I like the H1'sh idea, could see doing something like this as far as an "entry" point, just the shape doesn't flow, no streamlining with a jk.

I think ALL snorkels look like hell. The one thing I like about this one is there is no drilling holes in a perfectly good Jeep. That's always been slap stupid as hell to me. I think it's good engineering. The duckbilled platypus is good engineering, but it's ugly as hell.

I like the location

the under hood could be a lot simpler w/t some flexa hose air ducting
so to leave more wrenching space under there

plus we don't have to cut up our fender panels just top and a hole in the fire wall

much cheaper to replace than a the other body pannels

imo

Seriously...looks like Darth Vader's JK. Completely Ugly. I'll take 2. (But not for that price).

Looks like it could have been ALOT more asthetically pleasing without much more effort. I expect more from German design.
