They're very much like the cans from Expedition one but they come with brackets with twist locks that look like you could really mount them anywhere. The price isn't bad either.
That looks cool. Wonder if they have pictures of them mounted on a jeep?

No but if you missed it, check this out. ht tp://www.kolpinpowersports.com/products/utility-grips-presses/utility-gear-rail-system.html

Here's some of my ideas:

safari basket on the hood with 2 of 4 gallon ones stacked flat. (unless engine heat would be a concern)

the gear rail modified to mount between roll bars either in the back or along the sides like saddle bags.

but they're pricey suckers

The kolpin fuel packs have be known to leak due to the design of the spout. Check out the ATV forums.

A simililar product is the Rotopax plastic fuel packs ww w.rotopax.com. They sell them on ebay for $69 and you can use the Kolpin type fasteners to mount them.

Rotopax:

The Expedition One Gerri are much nicer though.

Aren't the Expedition One can's a little larger also?

I saw the are making the bumper mount, but are they going to make the spare tire mount also?

They are both 4 gallons. The size varies by a inch or so. The Rotopax are thinner at 3" thick.

I believe Expedition One is making a universal spare tire mount. Thats what they told me.

Will it fit through the center of a stock rubicon rim?

Scottrock,
This seems like a good idea (like where the jeeps had them mounted for desert use in WWII) but I think that a safari rack would be too much weight on the hood in addition to the cans (9lbs each) and fuel (6 lbs/gal). Maybe using the mount with a lightweight rack would work better. It's definately something to try.
