Getting more down travel

I wouldn't think so... Even if the shocks rubbing the frame it will just bend the shock shaft. Your down travel should be mainly limited by the shock length. I had 12.5 inch shocks with all stock stuff for awhile and i had the same flex i do now with all arms and track bars. The only thing limiting me at first was the driveshaft. Your sway bar was discod correct? Control Arms help it flex more easily and track bar centers axle. Id reccomend both but they shouldn't limit you.

Again, I'm guessing bushing bind. Especially when you remove the trackbar it seems more free to droop

It's not driveshaft or shock length limiting it. The shocks are plenty long. The trackbar limits the down travel a good 4-5 inches before the shocks and driveshaft top out.

Bushing bind may be it...ill start looking into it
