For fear of losing any oomph

I'm not sure how anyone lost low end power with the Gibson exhaust as I found new power across the entire range. My Jeep would be a dog until about 40mph but with the exhaust I can move very quickly (in relation to before). Perhaps my intake and TBS helped off-set any exhaust issues

I do have to ask, why is your exhaust so off-centered? That would drive me crazy.
I did some research through the other threads and I thought I read that Gibson states you will lose power if you add anything else to the JK for performance enhancements such as CAI and such.... doesn't sound right to me but I also don't know how true it is either... I would think that if an engine breathes better it will perform better.
That's just a little buffer zone between them and the PCM. More components, the harder time the PCM has correcting things with unknown values. Plenty of ways to get things to work, but sometimes a bit of skin involved.
There's a lot written in other threads about the loss of low end power with the dual exit exhausts. The quality of the Gibson exhausts have also come into question many times. Although if you want to make noise as opposed to get performance it seems to make people happy.
The most functional stuff out there is the relocation kits. Woods, MBRP and Cooltech. gets the can out of the way and single exit. Another option is your local muffler shop and a new can to relocate. Magnaflow seems to be the preference for the replacement muffler, and some length choices depending on how loud you want with a straight through design.

A 2.5" system from one to the other isn't going to make a whole lot of difference, outside of the dual exits needing a ton of rpm. With a loss of power on a 2.5" single exit system it has to be PCM woes or a programmer that's not coping with it well. I did experience some exhaust system issues with my previous programmer, but all has been good since I installed the Superchips.
Hey buddy I have it and put it on myself.
Pros: sounds great when you get on it and fairly quiet during idle. added hp and very easy to install. Looks awesome with chrome tips as well.
Cons: none so far and I've had it for about 8 months. Also, I added the truflow XDI air intake and lvoe the combination.
