Default Give me an opinion on this gear pattern

I have a 2012 jk sport that i am installing USED dana 44 4.10 gears with about 300 miles on them in the rear with an arb locker. I have set up numerous gears sets with new gears but never used. The gears are OEM dana gears and I have heard that reading the pattern on the drive side is tricky and the easiest way is to read the coast side. The pattern on them without any paint is visbile. Let me know what you think. I adjusted it a couple of times and have .005 in backlash.

They only make the 4:10s for rubicons which have Dana 44s in the front... Sports have Dana 30s in front. Your 4:10s for the front won't fit.... Unless you bought 4:10s from a 44/30.

Hope it works out, Good luck!

They are out of the rear axle and going into the rear axle. I already installed them. I also installed a dana 30 with the 4:10's from an earlier jk

That pattern doesn't look right to me. the contact should be further in the gear, and start a bit sooner towards the inside of the ring gear.

When you ran the pattern did you hold the ring gear to load the gears? if not, that may give you a better pattern to read. use a wrench on one of the ring gear bolts and roll the pinion gear back and forth.

your looking for a contact patch that starts solid and flares off smoothly.
