Default Going from 37s to 35s - need suspension and tire advice

Hey guys,

After running 37s on the Jeep for a few years, I've decided it will be more practical to go down to 35s to extend the life of the driveline and make the vehicle dynamics a little more tame. I'm thinking I'll replace the springs, shocks, and bumpstops (and possibly the rear TB bracket). Can you give me some opinions of good 3-3.5" springs that you've had experience with? Also, am I forgetting any parts that should be changed out?

Finally, I'm going to replace my 37" Goodyear MTR/Ks with something more tame. I'm looking for either a decently aggressive AT or a tame MT tire. Any suggestions based on experience? I'd like to have a tire that balances well and rides well on the road for when my wife drives.

Thanks!

Micah

lol yeah. I'm in grad school and can't spend as much time working on the Jeep as I used to. I was pretty sure I was going to sell it, but I decided against it. I'm going to try running smaller tires to help the vehicles longevity.

I can understand that man! If you're going with a 35 then all you'll really need is about 2.5" lift. But before I switched to coilovers I ran AEV coils with bilstein shocks and I thought it was a nice ride. Also, for a good tire is recommend Bfgoodrich AT's. They have great road manners, wear really well and look good

Having recently put about 5000 miles on my Nittos both on and off road I have to say I am a huge fan of them!

I thought my duratracs I had before were nice too, but given the choice I'd go with nittos again.

Good luck with the rebuild and in grad school!
