Default Is this a good idea?

I'd like to get the TF 3 inch full flex lift with 35 inch tires and a new rear drive shaft, but I hate the idea of throwing away my stock tires when they have another 15,000 miles to go. I'm sure the resale value is nothing.

Is it smart to put the 3 inch lift on and run stock tires for awhile, like a year? My rock crawling is light to moderate.

Stock tires make for nice trailer tires. Pull them and keep them. You might find someone that needs a set of cheap tires.

You gotta rubi right? At least you have mud tires. TF 2.5 coil doesn't look too bad on stock rubi tires. I don't think it'd be too bad w/ 3in. Get wheel spacers though so you don't tip over when the wind blows. Unless yours is a 2dr, then it'd look really goofy.Watch out if someone sneezes then.

I'm running my stock SRA's with a 2.5 BB until I bald them out. Then switching to the Rubi Take-offs You can look at my photos to get an idea.

Put bigger tires and sell your stockers. Someone needs them.

This is spot on, I sold my set to a gentleman using them on his trailer for $300, I had about 15,000 on mine

I sold mine for 500, once you have the rig on 35s with a Teraflex full flex lift, you will forget about those old tires, I promise.

Frank we dealt with the same dilemma and Blonda wanted to wear out the stock rubi 32" tires after doing our lift...well we did a couple of runs with them and someone gave us some great advice..."sell them while there is still good thread and help off set the cost of the 35" tires" we did that and it paid for 1 1/2 tires! This same advice might not work for everyone but it helped to make the decision more palatable for Blonda and the extra clearance has really come in handy. We are both glad we did it when we did and now after several other mods we are contemplating the move to 37" tires
