Just going off my last 2 weekends of wheelin with my Mtr-k's, but I was able to run some pretty steep trails that have had rain for weeks straight in 2wd. In TN we have a huge mix of mud. We've got the ridiculously sticky red clay with a good mix of dark fill-dirt peanut butter consistancy mud. They have done wonderfully in both. I do not however use my JK as a mud bogger. So, the deepest I've dealt with is maybe to the bottom of my front bumper and again they performed great. They did pack up a little, but continued to dig wonderfully and pulled through any thing I tried.

Like David stated. On rock and even slick wet rocks. I was able to creep over and grip like there was no tomorrow. I was absolutely shocked at the performance in those areas. Along with the amazing amount of sidewall bite they offer. I don't think, size for size, the stock rubi km's, which I owned for about 27-28k miles, could hold a candle to the new MTR-k's. Plus, there on road manners are wonderful.

I have them on my 09 Rubicon and they are the best offroad tire Ive ever had. I used to be a BFG guy.

Your dad had defective Maxxis Bighorns... I had them and they were great in the mud... self cleaned quite well.

On the rocks and street, my MT/R Kevlar work GREAT. A little mud on the other hand (which I hate but had to go through, only way on the last trail I was on) it's horrible. Doesn't clean out well and just spins at the slightest blip of the throttle.

But, I only play in the rocks, so they're great!

I actually had a pair of Goodyear kevlar tires on my gun truck in Iraq. They can take a beating with all the up armour weight added .Good investment IMO.

I'm not a mud bogger, but I've never had a problem at all with the MTR Kevlars in mud. Granted, I'm not hitting 5 feet deep mudholes but the usual trail stuff doesn't even cause an issue.

Aired down on the rocks of Uwharrie they stick like glue, and the road manners are amazing. These tires are equal to or even more quiet than the stock Rubi KM's.

I've seen lots of good reviews in the magazines, so not sure which one didn't like them.

Oh, and for the record, the R in the name is for Reinforced, not Radial.

They are at the top of my short list once the Nitto MGs are done. I've loved the Nittos, but it will. E nice to hear again.
