Default Goodyear MTR w/Kevlar: load Range C or D?

So, I have been wanting to get new tires soon and have been interested in the goodyear mtr w/ kevlar. However, I have been reading a lot of negative reviews about bad wear, a lot of trouble balancing, death wobble, "lumpy" ride, and a lot of flex in sidewall. On the other side however I have noticed that most of the negative comments were made on the tires with the load range C. The reviews I read on the tires with load range D seemed to have all good comments including people saying it did not require a lot of weight to balance and it performed extremely well both on and off road.

Is there any reason for this? And has anyone had experience with these tires that they would like to share? (please include if you had the load range C or D tires)

If these tires seem like they have a bad reputation, I will most likely end up getting Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's instead however it would be a shame because I think these tires look awesome.

Thanks

I've been thru four sets of 35x12,50x15 MTRs on my last two rubicons, and I still will buy another set when my present ones wear out, although I usually put about 20,000 miles on them and get a few hundred $$ as used. I'm very happy with the total performance and wear, and have never had to balance them after installation. I drive my rubicon to Vegas, to San Francisco to visit my daughter, and do lots of rock crawling. Ill have to admit though, I liked the old style tread pattern over the new.

Default 40"s

I run 40"s with the "C" load range. The Discount Tire store I purchased from did the balancing after I mounted them at home on my beadlocks. The tire tech was amazed at how easy it was to road force balance the tires, all zeroed out with relatively little weight. I have 16,000 miles on them, rotate every 3-5k, lots of hard offroad wheeling in rocks and the tires have worn evenly and still have well over 1/2-3/4 of the original tread. The only slight wobble I get is when the rig is parked for a week or so and its only during the first few miles before the tires develop some heat and smooth out. I love the tires and will probably replace with the same size and make, unless a year or two there is some new stuff on the market.

Mine have been great so far, and are load range c... On road ride is great and off road performance is amazing. I could care less if they last me 30k. I'll by another set.

You just have to properly rotate every 3k and check tire pressure. I run at 30 psi
