Default Gorilla lock nuts

Anybody have rust issues with these lock nuts? I bought the black chrome and they are rusting already. I guess from the air ratchet taking my wheels on and off. I thought these things were the shit??

They are the best! But if you put etches in them from taking them on an off anything will rust. Do what i do, i run two sets of tires/rims 1 for summer 1 for winter. I use the factory lug nuts for my winter setup and the Gorilla lug nuts for my summer 1. If you do that you will have time to retouch your gorilla lugs in time for the summer.

Are yours the chrome or the black chrome? Maybe the black chrome aren't painted as well. They are great though otherwise

Never use air tools on lug nuts. You will cause excessive scratching and etching and cause premature rusting.

No. Don't get me wrong they are very strong and well worth the $50.00. It might just be the ack chrome ones and probably the fact that they should an air tool to rotate my tires. They aren't rusting bad but if you get up close you can see little rust spots creeping through. From a distance you can't see any rust on the black

It's the "pulsating" action applied to the lug nuts when using a powered tool that causes the damage.
