Got my Hypertech Last Night.......
Installed it after having already had my K&N and Flowmaster Exhaust and set it for 87octane performance. Didn't really notice any low-end pickup, although there is less of a "dead spot" in the throttle now. The Jeep's MPG calculator is reading almost 1MPG more, but I'll get through this tank and see how far I can actually go. I've been getting just under 250 miles before my "Get Gas or Walk" light comes on, so we'll see. Speaking of gas light, I'm going to mod mine so that instead of an orange fuel pump illuminating with the warning chime, it's a big-ass green money bag accompanied by a "cha-ching" sound. I'll follow up to post more info after a few weeks of regular driving.
Remember to update the programmer regularily via internet and flash your ECU. The programmimg is constantly being improved. Some people have reported better performance after new updates have come out.
I'm not overly impressed with the regular performance setting.....I think I'm going to finish this tank (will take a couple of weeks) and switch to the premium setting for comparison. The last thing I'm going to try is a new set of headers, but I'm waiting on Doug Thorley design I heard a rumor about.....has a tri-y design that improves exhaust scavenging and may provide another low-end torque bump. But at this point more bolt on engine stuff seems like another coat of wax on a turd. Still, I love my Jeep!

I don't have the hypertech, I got the Superchips. I keep it on the "Towing" mode, as this give me some good low end improvement and great overall gains. If Hypertech has a Towing mode, give it a try.
I bought the Hypertech several years ago I think (at least a year and a half) and was not overly impressed. I bought the Superchips last month and I am way more impressed with that, the shift points (auto) are much better and the install time is half of the Hypertech. IMHO just get Superchips and forget the Hype.

interesting what the next tank brings
