Do it yourself! It's really not hard. But much more comfortable if you're not cold...

Glad to hear you got your system.

I have one of the original location MBRP's which I had put on in May. I had everythng loosened up and ready to come down (about 30' work) when I hit a snag. The last clamp I tried to take off was at the cat. I tugged, pulled cursed etc. but to no avail. Tightened everything back on and drove to a local muffler shop I had used before for cat back installation. 5' after the guy took my jk back he comes out and says "I can't get that clamp loose." I said "well what do we do now?" thinking I could never put my new muffler on. He says "well I can cut it off with a torch." 15' later I drove away with my new MBRP cat-back installed (for an easy $50).

ps. It's a great exhaust, I don't drive a mini van anymore!

I'm really worried about the bolt by the cat. The nut is on top, and looks rusted pretty good. If I don't plan on re using my stock muffler, can I just grind/sawzall the old stock hooks off the mounts? May make life easier..
Fathom, do you have a 2 or 4 door? Did you need to shield or move your evap?

To be clear, I was referring to the clamp NOT the hangers. My muffler system came with new clamps so there was no issue cutting one of the old ones off. I felt pretty stupid I didn't think of it before I went to the muffler shop!

I have the two door, no need with the original location MBRP to relocate the evap although I now have the Benchmark skid. I guess you could cut the hangers off the OEM muffler/exhaust but then it's ruined.

Let me know what you think of the sound seeing you have an automatic. I had the Gibson exhaust which sounded horrible with an auto. It was installed and removed by the next day. I'm curious to know what you think of the MBRP.

its much more satisfying to turn some wrenches and do it yourself. Installing a muffler can't be too difficult and if you get stuck post up some pics here and ask for help.
