Default Got my Mopar front bumper today...

... and reading the instructions they say to add the winch before mounting the bumper.

The problem is, I did not make up my mind on what winch to use and I don't want to take it off again as I was hoping to just bolt it on.

The Warn PowerPlant Dual Force HP 9500LB Winch for about $1300.00, is it worth the extra money for the compressor? I will get air, one way or the other.

So, owners of that winch, would you buy it again or get a less expensive winch and get a separate compressor.

Please advise.

I cant speak for the power plant winch, but my 9.5ti droped in with the bumper and grill already installed, it was tight though.

The 9.5ti is my second choice and that is good too know. I don't mind taken off the grill.

Ditto for me also... I installed the Warn 9.5ti with ease after the bumper was already installed.

- Just make sure you have the Roller fairlead installed before the Winch.

- Spool some of the cable-wire through the fairlead slot before dropping in the winch.

- Get a second person to help as it will prevent scratches and the extra hands will keep the battery cables from getting pinched.

- If you go with the Warn Power Plant Winch, I think you may have to do some cutting.

Good luck!

How was the front end sag after the Mopar and Ti install?

The grill has to be snapped on before droping in the winch or you cant get the grill back in (I found out the hard way) lol

I think my front droped about 1/2 -3/4" or so, but the back droped almost a 1/2" too due to the rear bumper/tire carrier (still stock suspension for now though).

Cool... I think thats the front end setup I'm going with. I suppose I can live with a 1/2" sag.

I got the Mopar rear bumper (without the tire carrier) as I don't plan on going with anything bigger than 33" tires and I say I lost about a 1/2 in the back and 3/4 in the front with the Mopar front bumper, Roller Fairlead, KC Hilites & Warn winch.

Im still debating if I should just add 3/4 or 1" spacers in the front and 1/2 in the back to bring the height back to stock or go with a 2" lift.

VERY GOOD INFO!!! Search engine is a wonderful thing. thanks!

I guess if I'm going to do a tranny cooler, I have to do that before the winch!
