Default Gotta get in the air

Alright so ive blown out my eyeballs reading about these lifts. I know you all have read what
im writing a million times. Im used to truck lifts and not as familiar with the jeeps. They all were complete. you bought it and put it on and didnt need anything else.
i want at least a 3". I keep getting torn between Teraflex, Rock Krawler, and OME lifts.
it looks like the OME kit when mixed with a bunch of other stuff gives you adjustable front and rear control arms. and sway bar links. I read the write up on project-jk of the 3"OME lifts. It
looked like something id be happy with
Rock Krawler just seems like an awesome product as well as teraflex. They are bit more
pricey on some stuff. Ive been talking to RK and they have a sale going on and was
recommended the 3.5" mid arm kit. whats your thoughts on that.
I just want the best bang for my buck as is everyone.

My wife is the driver and is mostly a DD, but we do plan on hitting some trails. Will probably
be mild, but you never know. SO i want to be able to upgrade easily to get a little crazier if
need be. Id like to hang around 1500.00 give or take. I dont mind spending more if it keeps me from wasting money later to upgrade.

any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks

In that case, RK is fully upgradeable/interchangeable... you can always add, swap, etc. That being said, there are SO SO SO many options with lifts, so you just gotta do your research and go from there.... remember, its your rig - do what you'd want, don't have others make up your mind(respectively).

Thanks, ive been researching since we got this jeep almost a year ago. I keep reading good
things about a lot of different lifts thats the problem. Its making me crazy. almost seems like any of these popular
lifts here wont be a bad choice.

i see you are running an aev kit. would you run it again or change anything

Different strokes for different folks.... just don't get caught up in "fads" or what people say on here too much(again, respectively), as YOU are the one who will be driving and wheeling it, not them. Easy to sit behind a computer and rattle off what "XYZ" brand can and can't do, ya know?

Yea, I like my AEV kit. It serves its purpose for what I do and how I wheel and where I wheel. Others dont like "bolt-on" kits/brackets VS. totally new parts (control arms, track bars, etc). Again, there are countless lifts out there with all the bells and whistles down to the bare essentials. Just know that if you go the "cheapo" route, you may find yourself buying more components down the road.

If I was you, I'd take it out STOCK and see what you can and can't do on the trail (keeping in mind your limitations). Tires always are a bonus on the trails, but if you wanna run 33's, you don't even need a lift. 35's with a small coil lift will work also. If you don't rock crawl and/or plan on running 37's or bigger, no need to go with a $2,000+ kit, get me? But again, its all how deep your pockets are and what you prefer.

You will like the rk 3.5 midarm. Im running it with OME LT shocks, flat fenders and 37's. Ive had zero problems on or off road. Ill also add that the three kits your looking at were the same three it came down to for me. All three are quality kits and will serve you fine but for me the price point and the fact I never heard a bad review on rk lifts swayed me to their side.

Ive already purchased wheels and tires. we are running 34" Trail grapplers. got a good deal on wheels and tires. anyway they arent practical right now stock.. i dont rub at all as a DD and probably wouldnt be too bad off when i do the flat fender mod some time.

What made you get the LT OME. just a softer ride. I dont want to sag too much. ive got a body armor bumper and orfab rear. pretty heavy. anyway thanks for that tid bit of info. Im glad you hear you are happy with your RK kit.
When you bought your mid arm. what else did you purhcase extra or did you just do what came with the kit.

Yes the ome shocks are a little softer then the bilsteins. Im also running heavy bumpers, winch and sliders and havnt noticed any sag. Only thing extra i bought were an extended brake lines for the front or maybe it was the rear cause the kit only came with one for some reason. Just ordered an rk tierod because mines beat up but thats it as far as suspension goes. 34" should look fine with stock flares and you will have room for larger meats in the future if you want.
