Default Grab Bar Install Problem Easy Fix/Hack

This post is for anyone who has/had the ultra frustrating, sometimes deal breaking issue with screwing the bolts back into the pillar when installing the GraBars or similar product. Im sure most who have had this problem notice after looking in the pillar hole, the second hole is misaligned and blocks the bolt from entering.

After hours of aggravation and a "ahah" moment, i found it's very simple to fix this issue.

Remove freedom panel on the side you are working on.
Get in your jeep (I stood on sidestep / rail)
Line your bolt up
Push forward on the top corner of windshield where the metal meets the freedom panel
While pushing the windshield, begin turning the bolt until it catches and starts to tighten
AND WALA!!

Inside each pillar hole, there's 2 holes. Since the windshield rests on the front roll cage, one hole is the roll bar and the other is the windshield. Pushing forward on the windshield allows these two holes to line back up. I had to remove GraBars to run coax and power for CB and was instantly reminded of how much they were a pain in the a** they were to put in. No way screwing 2 bolts should have taken hours LOL as some of you have also encountered ive noticed. The install appears to either take 5 mins for some people or very frustrating hours/days for others. Hopefully this posts helps someone in the future if it has not been addressed previously. Theres nothing wrong with your GraBars or the hardware, just simply two holes that need a little reminding where they are supposed to be. I wish that I wouldve had the eureka moment about the folding windshield when I put the Grabars in a few years ago lol
