Well, I have been looking at making or buying grab bars for my jk. I have the hard top. The freedom top uses one of the bolt holes as an alignment guide. If I were to remove the plastic "pin" from the top, it would leave room for a mounting point for some paracord grab bars or even custom fab some at a machine shop.

Question being this: does the top really need that "pin" for anything other than alignment during installation?
