Default Grade 8/winch bumper
Grade 8 hardware on winch bumper, Is there any reason to not install the winch plate and bumper with grade 8 hardware? To be honest I was surprised it did not come with Grade 8.

I not sure about everything I do or don't know abut this, but I bet your winch came with grade 5 hardware. I believe it has something to do with the tensile vs shear strength of each.

purly cost. it wont hurt to use grade 8. i dont have grade 8 hardware used with mine, and its been fine. there is enough holding it down not to need it
