honestly, when it comes to good ball joints, there's more to them than just getting one that's greaseable. dynatrac prosteers may be pricey but, there's really NOTHING out there that compares to them and you really do get what you pay for - the last set of ball joints you will ever need to get.

if you want to grease the stock ones....I use a sport needle ( one for soccer /football etc. ) and slide it underneath the rubber cover. It seems to work pretty well ...just my .02

I don't think that will get the grease all the way into the sleeve around the ball. If it works, great though. I'm sure it won't hurt anything.

Other then OEM, I know crown makes ball joints but they look weaker then the OEM joints do... I would go with Dynatracs. Do you think you could do the install yourself? There are good guides on youtube and you can rent the tools from any auto parts store.

Napa makes greasable uppers, moog makes greasable lowers. These are adjustable ball joints though.

Out of curiosity, why are the ball joints so expensive for such a small part? It's not exactly high tech...

It's all about volume and where they're made. They are made in the U.S. and the volumes are low compared to other types of products. We want to support the U.S. and feel that the consistant quality easily justifies the cost.

JK-Holiday, I feel your pain. But everytime I make that statement on this forum I always get blasted with the old "it's a Jeep thing" and frankly I could give a damn. I agree that suppliers have just found out that Jeep owners will pay anything to put something different on their rigs. I look at the costs of simple and small mods and it makes me sick. Good luck on your search.
