Greatest Bang for the Buck
I love my Jk, but now that my new job forces me to drive over hundred miles a day. I'm looking to improve mpg. Will a hyper-tech max energy programmer really make a differences on my stock 2 dr. Or should I looking in to a CAI.
Thanks the JK is the second car, I got a XJ on 35 and it needs a tanker to follow it. I ride my motorcycle, but with FL great weather its a roll of the dice. Thanks for the information, will the programmer have any affect on my JK that would make it worth it.
If the Jeep is the daily and you have a radical jeep to play with then get rid of that jeep and get something that will pay for itself. My wife drove an Excursion diesel that I needed her to have so I could use occasionaly for towing my race trailers. I drive the jeep but only drive 2 miles a day 5 days a week. Now that fuel is so high I bought her a Nissan Versa and use the Excursion just as its intended as a trailer and large crowd hauler. Its a cheap car but big inside. We get 27MPG in town which is all the driving we do. Very little highway with the occasional trip to the "CITY". On highway it gets 35MPG. At 100 miles per day, your savings would pay the payment on a car like that. So what if its an F-Me car. You know, you say F-ME every time you drive it
But if it saves you money for your other hobbies its worth it..

I just bought the hypertech programmer and havent noticed much of a change in mpg but it definately took the "lag" out of the acceleration and the shift points seem smoother in the auto tranny. I mainly got it to be able to recalibrate the spedo when I get bigger tires.
