GY MTR's or BF Mud Terrain
ya i've never had such a hard time deciding between two products. i chose teraflex for my suspension in a matter of 5 days after researching and asking opinions, and my winch it took me one day to decide. but i've been thinking about both tires for weeks now. i saved up the money and everything, i could have bough them a month ago, but i'm still not sure.
i'm leaning towards the km2 just because i like the look of them better. i'm a big fan of goodyear tires because i'm using the sr-a right now, and have the silent armors for winters and i know gy makes a good tire. but the km2 just look sexier on a silver jeep i think.
thx for all the input, muchos appreciated, it was a big help
. i'll be making my decision soon.

I have the MTR-K on my 07 JK and they are awesome. Let me say that again. Awesome!! Super quiet on the highway, and a total animal offroad. They are also the lightest weight tire out there since they are a load range C in 35in so it helps with the performance of the Jeep when you add larger tires (less rotating mass).
I think they look damn sexy on my silver Jeep.

burnout88 and aldaman, ur rigs look really good with those mtr's.
i've never been so
indecisive over something to buy.
both tires look great. to be honest i think for 33's i'll stick with the km2 to fit my 7.5" rim.
i'll wait till i'm ready to buy 35's to get the mtr's. seems like a waste to buy them as 33's.

bfg just came out with more sizes for the km2's. I'm having the same problem deciding also
here is a size that i'm lookin at:
LT255/80R17/E , RWL ,6.5 - 8.5 Rim Width Range (inches)
Section Width on Measuring Rim Width 10 on 7,
Overall Diameter 33.3
plus it will fit on a stock tire carrier without doin any damage!

I just put 37x12.50 R17 MT/R's on this past weekend. I also ran the original MT/R's on my TJ and when they wore out, went to the Kevlar's. While it is basically a toss-up here, I gotta stick with brand loyalty and go with the Goodyears (cough: sponsorship hint: cough).

Having recently gone from KM2s to MTR-Ks, the Goodyear seems to be (a) a better rain tire, (b) quieter at speed and, (c) a softer ride (due no doubt to the fact they're a C range/6 ply sidewall rather than the BFG's D range/8 ply).
I won't be able to make a comparison off-road until this time next month. Headed for Colorado.

I've got 33" KM2s on my ZJ and they are very tough in the rocks, but quite noisy on the road. They are load range E. I just put 34" MTRs on my Unlimited and they are quiet. Haven't had them offroad yet. If the MTR proves to be as good in the rocks as the KM2, then the MTR is a superior tire. IMHO
